Jared Gradinger, the curator of 2008’s “How do you are?” festival at “Les Grand Traversees” invited Pictoplasma to present “Characters ‘R’ Us”, a group exhibition of outstanding art building on the strength of reduced figuration. Located in an old harbour warehouse built in the 19th century, the CAPC, musée d’Art contemporain de Bordeaux, is one of the most important institutions of France presenting the major movements of the art world since the 1960s.
The exhibition included a fine selection of outstanding Argentinean silk-screen prints by Juliana Pedemonte, Christian Montenegro, Matias Vigliano, Gaston Caba and Doma Coll, and original “Pen to Paper” hand-drawn work by Thomas Bernard, John Casey, Mark DeLong, Fia Cielen, Frederic Fleury, Charles Glaubitz, Lane Hagood, Joey Haley, Mehdi Hercberg aka Shoboshobo, Andrew James Jones, Matt Lock, Arnaud Loumeau, Yu Matsuoka, Allyson Mellberg Taylor, Stephane Prigent aka Kerozen, Luke Ramsey, Seth Scriver, Eric Shaw, Ian Stevenson, Team Macho, Dennis Tyfus and Ola Vasiljeva.
